Enochs Light - Sample chapters 83 & 84 of the Reformatted Books of Enoch

EXCERPT SECTION 2 - Chap: 83 & 84

The following are several key rough-draft chapters from the book which comprise approx; 25% of the book. There may be several features within this that will be very new to the reader who has been acquainted with the previously available versions of the Enochian texts that may not make sense, but those answers will be found within the remainder of the book when it becomes available.

Chapter 83
THE DREAM-VISIONS
(LXXXIII-XC.) (83-90)
LXXXIII. (83) LXXXIV. (84) First Dream-Vision on the Deluge.
CHAPTER LXXXIII. (Chapter 83)

Jud 1:14  And "the seventh from Adam," Enoch, also prophesied to these men, saying, Behold, "the Lord came with" myriads "of His saints," 
Jud1:15  "to do judgment against all, and to rebuke all" the ungodly of them concerning all their ungodly works which they ungodly did, "and concerning all the hard things ungodly sinners spoke against Him."


E. Bible (Chapter 83:1)
1. And now, my son Methuselah, I will show thee all my visions which I have seen, recounting them before thee.

Laurence (Chapter 82:1a)
1a. And now I have shown thee, my son Mathusala, every sight which I saw prior to thy birth. 

Thoughts
This is Enoch, preparing to share his Dream Visions to his son, Methuselah. (Please also keep in-mind, Enoch gave his books to Methuselah, to ensure all The Books of Enoch found their way into the hands of their Righteous Descendants, [of the times of turbulence and trials]; The End Times. Enoch knew this, even then).

E. Bible (Chapter 83:2)
2. Two visions I saw before I took a wife, and the one was quite unlike the other: the first when I was learning to write: the second before I took thy mother, (when) I saw a terrible vision. And regarding them I prayed to the Lord.

Laurence (Chapter 82:1b-3)
1b. I will relate another vision, which I saw before I was married; they resemble each other. 2. The first was when I was learning a book; and the other before I was married to thy mother. I saw a potent vision; 3. And on account of these things besought the Lord.

Thoughts
Enoch had Two Visions.

E. Bible (Chapter 83:3)
I had laid me down in the house of my grandfather Mahalalel, (when) I saw in a vision how the heaven collapsed and was borne off and fell to the earth.

Laurence (Chapter 82:4-5a)
4. I was lying down in the house of my grandfather Malalel, when I saw in a vision heaven purifying, and snatched away. 5a. And falling to the earth,

Thoughts
Something to pay attention to above, ‘collapsed’ and ‘purifying’ have been used for the translation. Here, clearly translation is all about context, as we have continuously pointed-out throughout The Books of Enoch. Thus, by way of Heaven collapsing onto Earth, it is by all rights purifying earth, we will have a renewed Heaven and Earth as One. Can you imagine what this would look like? (Perhaps something like the Earth being Cleaved with a Staff? Something to think about when further reading).

E. Bible (Chapter 83:4)
4. And when it fell to the earth I saw how the earth was swallowed up in a great abyss, and mountains were suspended on mountains, and hills sank down on hills, and high trees were rent from their stems, and hurled down and sunk in the abyss.

Laurence (Chapter 82:5b)
5b. I saw likewise the earth absorbed by a great abyss; and mountains suspended over mountains. 6. Hills were sinking upon hills, lofty trees were gliding off from their trunks, and were in the act of being projected, and of sinking into the abyss.

Thoughts
This sounds to me, like a Cataclysm of sorts…

E. Bible (Chapter 83:5)
5. And thereupon a word fell into my mouth, and I lifted up (my voice) to cry aloud, and said: 'The earth is destroyed.'

Laurence (Chapter 82:7a)
7a. Being alarmed at these things, my voice faltered. I cried out and said, The earth is destroyed.

Thoughts
Poor Enoch witnessed the destruction of Earth and all of Earth’s inhabitants. What a burden of knowledge to bear…

E. Bible (Chapter 83:6)
6. And my grandfather Mahalalel waked me as I lay near him, and said unto me: 'Why dost thou cry so, my son, and why dost thou make such lamentation?'

Laurence (Chapter 82:7b)
7b. Then my grandfather Malalel raised me up, and said to me: Why dost thou thus cry out, my son? and wherefore dost thou thus lament?

Thoughts
Enoch’s grandfather Mahalalel had woken Enoch from his dream vision.

E. Bible (Chapter 83:7)
7. And I recounted to him the whole vision which I had seen, and he said unto me: 'A terrible thing hast thou seen, my son, and of grave moment is thy dream-vision as to the secrets of all the sin of the earth: it must sink into the abyss and be destroyed with a great destruction.

Laurence (Chapter 82:8-9)
8. I related to him the whole vision which I had seen. He said to me, Confirmed is that which thou hast seen, my son; 9. And potent the vision of thy dream respecting every secret sin of the earth. Its substance shall sink into the abyss, and a great destruction take place.

Thoughts
The sin was so horrible that the only way to cleanse the earth of the sin, was to utterly destroy it.

 
E. Bible (Chapter 83:8)
8. And now, my son, arise and make petition to the Lord of glory, since thou art a believer, that a remnant may remain on the earth, and that He may not destroy the whole earth.

Laurence (Chapter 82:10a)
10a. Now, my son, rise up; and beseech the Lord of glory (for thou art faithful), that a remnant may be left upon earth, and that he would not wholly destroy it.

Thoughts
Mahalalel suggested to Enoch, that Enoch pray that “a remnant may remain on earth” & “remnant may be left upon earth”. Something else to pay attention to is this is not just a prayer, this is a ‘Petition’ to The Most High within the Divine Court System.

E. Bible (Chapter 83:9)
9. My son, from heaven all this will come upon the earth, and upon the earth there will be great destruction.

Laurence (Chapter 82:10b)
10b. My son, all this calamity upon earth comes down from heaven; upon earth shall there be a great destruction.

Thoughts
Notice how the E. Bible does not have a translation for the word ‘calamity’ like what is offered within the Laurence translation? Again, these translations were based off of context in addition to finding modern words that fit. These translations will never be perfect if the ones translating do not entirely understand the ‘original story / context’.

E. Bible (Chapter 83:10)
10. After that I arose and prayed and implored and besought, and wrote down my prayer for the generations of the world, and I will show everything to thee, my son Methuselah.

Laurence (Chapter 82:11)
11. Then I arose, prayed, and entreated; and wrote down my prayer for the generations of the world, explaining everything to my son Mathusala.

Thoughts
Enoch prayed and implored and besought & “Wrote down my prayer for the generations of the world” This is what we would call, ‘The Memorial Prayer for Justice’.

E. Bible (Chapter 83:11)
11. And when I had gone forth below and seen the heaven, and the sun rising in the east, and the moon setting in the west, and a few stars, and the whole earth, and everything as He had known it in the beginning, then I blessed the Lord of judgement and extolled Him because He had made the sun to go forth from the windows of the east, and he ascended and rose on the face of the heaven, and set out and kept traversing the path shown unto him.

Laurence (Chapter 82:12)
12. When I went out below, and looking up to heaven, beheld the sun proceeding from the east, the moon descending to the west, a few scattered stars, and everything which God has known from the beginning, I blessed the Lord of judgment, and magnified him: because he hath sent forth the sun from the chambers of the east; that, ascending and rising in the face of heaven, it might spring up, and pursue the path which has been pointed out to it.

Thoughts
Enoch admiring the laws in which as Sun rises, the moon will set, with the stars always in the sky. Thanking The Eternal Creator for His creation and the perfect harmony in which all the luminaries work together.

Chapter 84
Enoch’s Prayer to Save Man
CHAPTER LXXXIV. (Chapter 84)

 
E. Bible (Chapter 84:1) **This is the beginning of Enoch’s Memorial Prayer on behalf of mankind’s salvation**
And I lifted up my hands in righteousness and blessed the Holy and Great One, and spake with the breath of my mouth, and with the tongue of flesh, which God has made for the children of the flesh of men, that they should speak therewith, and He gave them breath and a tongue and a mouth that they should speak therewith:

Laurence (Chapter 83:1)
1. I lifted up my hands in righteousness, and blessed the holy, and the Great One. I spoke with the breath of my mouth, and with a tongue of flesh, which God has formed for all the sons of mortal men, that with it they may speak; giving them breath, a mouth, and a tongue to converse with.

Thoughts
Enoch raised his hands up in righteousness (prayer), and spoke aloud the words of this prayer (that he too also wrote down). It is clearly important to not only write down our prayers, but to use the voice we have been given for our prayers and speak aloud. –( This is how We Need to Pray).

E. Bible (Chapter 84:2) **Continuation of Enoch’s Memorial Prayer**
2. 'Blessed be Thou, O Lord, King, Great and mighty in Thy greatness, Lord of the whole creation of the heaven, King of kings and God of the whole world. And Thy power and kingship and greatness abide for ever and ever, And throughout all generations Thy dominion; And all the heavens are Thy throne for ever, And the whole earth Thy footstool for ever and ever.

Laurence (Chapter 83:2-3)
2. Blessed art thou, O Lord, the King, great and powerful in thy greatness, Lord of all the creatures of heaven, King of kings, God of the whole world, whose reign, whose kingdom, and whose majesty endure for ever and ever. 3. From generation to generation shall thy dominion exist. All the heavens are thy throne for ever, and all the earth thy footstool for ever and for ever.

Thoughts
Acknowledging The Eternal Creator the same way we would acknowledge a Judge. This appears that Enoch was pleading a case (prayer / petition) with The Eternal Creator. (Divine Court System). The Eternal Creator IS The King of Kings, The Most, God of the whole world, the Lord of THIS Kingdom of His Creation.

E. Bible (Chapter 84:3) **Continuation of Enoch’s Memorial Prayer**
3. For Thou hast made and Thou rulest all things, And nothing is too hard for Thee, Wisdom departs not from the place of Thy throne, Nor turns away from Thy presence. And Thou knowest and seest and hearest everything, And there is nothing hidden from Thee [for Thou seest everything].

Laurence (Chapter 83:4)
4. For thou hast made them, and over all thou reignest. No act whatsoever exceeds thy power. With thee wisdom is unchangeable; nor from thy throne and from thy presence is it ever averted. Thou knowest all things, seest and hearest them; nor is anything concealed from thee; for thou perceivest all things.

Thoughts
Enoch acknowledging the Wisdom and Sight of The Eternal Creator.

E. Bible (Chapter 84:4)** Continuation of Enoch’s Memorial Prayer**
4. And now the angels of Thy heavens are guilty of trespass, And upon the flesh of men abideth Thy wrath until the great day of judgement.

Laurence (Chapter 83:5)
5. The angels of thy heavens have transgressed; and on mortal flesh shall thy wrath remain, until the day of the great judgment.

Thoughts
Enoch is speaking of The Watchers AND the “flesh of men” will receive The Eternal Creator’s wrath until The End Times.

E. Bible (Chapter 84:5) **Continuation of Enoch’s Memorial Prayer**
5. And now, O God and Lord and Great King, I implore and beseech Thee to fulfil my prayer, To leave me a posterity on earth, And not destroy all the flesh of man, And make the earth without inhabitant, So that there should be an eternal destruction.

Laurence (Chapter 83:6-7)
6. Now then, O God, Lord and mighty King, I entreat thee, and beseech thee to grant my prayer, that a posterity may be left to me on earth, and that the whole human race may not perish; 7. That the earth may not be left destitute, and destruction take place for ever.

Thoughts
Beautiful Enoch prayed and petitioned on behalf of the future generations of mankind. Asking The Eternal Creator to “leave me a posterity on earth” & “posterity may be left to me on earth”. (Enoch prayed for Descendants on Earth; Enoch is the Father of us all in a sense, by way of Noah).

E. Bible (Chapter 84:6) **Continuation of Enoch’s Memorial Prayer**
6. And now, my Lord, destroy from the earth the flesh which has aroused Thy wrath, But the flesh of righteousness and uprightness establish as a plant of the eternal seed, And hide not Thy face from the prayer of Thy servant, O Lord.'

Laurence (Chapter 83:8)
8. O my Lord, let the race perish from off the earth which has offended thee, but a righteous and upright race establish for a posterity for ever. Hide not thy face, O Lord, from the prayer of thy servant.

Thoughts
Enoch asked for “flesh of righteousness and uprightness” “as a plant of the eternal seed”. Enoch prayed for a future generation of Righteousness to remain on Earth. 1st Law; as we learned from Chapter 69:15; ‘This new Oath (modified Law), is powerful and strong, now placed in the hands of Archangel Michael to imprison The Watchers, (this law is called the Kasbeel of Akâe Bîqâ).”
